This seems like it was written by a 12-year-old boy who is trying to impress adults. The dialogue is unnatural and stilted; the story does not flow and the copious but gratuitous expletives are just annoying. I persevered but kept getting distracted by rewriting the book in my mind to correct the grammatical errors and infantile expressions.Product details

Bayou City Blues Rashard "Stone" Williams Mysteries Book 2 edition by King James Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
the story line was just okay, i probably would not purchase books by this author in the furure, not enough mystery in the story
I love these King James mysteries. I think mystery fans will love this and the other mystery Freedom is Not Free. Both novels are great reads.
Stone Williams finds himself trying to solve a case that starts with his old military buddy getting shot. Lots of twists, turns and action.

I expected my action from this one. although I will read the others that he writes I hope they become more interesting
This the worst book I have ever read ( I couldn't finish it was so bad )
The author writes like a fourth grader
Bayou City Blues is a page turner mystery with a lot of action.Stone is a ex Marine.Stone is a tough young cop that has made a name for himself on a special task force called the Ghost Squad.
I pride myself on finishing every book I start but this one beat me.I know I'm not American so the very American vocabulary and slang is an obstacle to get over but I've done that in the past. What got me was the language. I understand it wants to be realistic, and maybe I live in cloud cuckoo land but usng the f... word every other sentence just got too much for me and I gave up- especailly as the story line was NOT enthralling. Maybe the second two thirds of the book are better but I'm not going to waste any more time reading it to find out.
